The IR-D1 Multi-Surface Deck Mounted Bracket is extremely fast and versatile for mounting solar modules on metal and asphalt roof surfaces. This bracket can be deck mounted with no need to find joists or rafters, and utilizes IntegraRack’s Super Sealing Technology.
– Compatible With Rails Or Go Rail-less
The IR-D1 is an easier solution for solar module mounting on metal and asphalt roof applications. The upright part of the bracket includes an opening for a 5/16″ T-Bolt and an adjustable slot for a 3/8″ T-Bolt, making it capable of mounting with any rail based system. Alternatively, IR-F1 panel brackets can be used to attach the modules right to this bracket.
– Super Sealing Technology
This deck mounted bracket is fitted with Hydro-Sealing Mastic Rubber on the bottom of the feet. This thick rubber will expand into the threads of the deck bolts and through the two visual inspection holes when the proper amount of bolt pressure is applied to ensure a 100% infusion seal with the roof surface. The IR-D1 comes standard with four self piercing deck mounting bolts and EPDM sealing washers.
– Works On Most Metal and Asphalt Surfaces
The IR-D1 Brackets “hat shaped” design is specifically suited to fit around the corrugation of a large variety of standard metal roofs while providing necessary strength and clearance for the solar modules.
– Deck Mounted
Designed for deck mounting, so there is no need to find Rafters or Joists for the mounting of this bracket. This provides ample flexibility when installing modules on a roof and, in some cases, allows for the placement of more modules than traditional metal or asphalt roof mounts.
Rail-Less Solar Module Mounting & Bonding
When clamping solar panels, the stainless steel spring barbs dig into the bottom flange of the solar module to prevent it from sliding and also bond the modules together. For brackets in between rows, you can mount one IR-F1 Bracket on either side of the mounted bracket using the same carriage bolt to hold them all together.
Quick Fold Bend Tabs
Works in tandem with the Bend Tab Clamps incorporated into the top of our brackets. When quickly folded over with a flathead screwdriver, it clamps the solar module frame directly to the IR-F1 Rail-Less Module Flange Clamp Bonding Bracket, bonding it and locking the solar module firmly in place. For mid-row brackets, you can bend each tab in a different direction, and for end modules the tabs can both be bent the same direction for added clamping tension.

Mounting Requirements
The IR-F1 is compatible with all of our upright brackets with the Quick Fold Bend Tabs. One IR-F1 can be used for end clamping or two can be mounted (one on each side with a single carriage bolt holding them to the upright bracket) for mid clamping.
