Built on a custom 55 nm ASIC, the IQ8AC reacts quickly to load and grid events, easing battery sizing for home energy systems. It is optimized for current high-powered PV modules.

Power line communication ties it into the Enphase Energy System with the IQ Battery and IQ Gateway, and remote updates keep it current with grid profiles. It is UL listed as PV rapid shutdown equipment.
